ServicesSeasonal Cleanup
Seasonal Cleanup in Windermere
We clear the leaves, weeds, dead growth and storm debris that pile up between seasons, then haul it all away. While we work, we look for why it built up, so your yard stays tidy longer and you know what is worth fixing.

A Fresh Start for Your Yard, Twice a Year or More
Central Florida does not get a classic fall. Our live oaks hang on to their old leaves through autumn and let them go as the new spring growth pushes out, usually beginning in late winter. Then the summer rains push weeds and shrubs faster than most people can keep up with. A seasonal cleanup resets everything in one visit so your lawn and beds can breathe again.
We also pay attention to what the mess is telling us. A thick mat of leaves over one corner of the lawn often means the grass underneath is already thinning. Beds that fill with weeds every month usually have bare soil showing or a sprinkler spraying where it should not. We point these things out with photos and a plain explanation, and you decide what, if anything, to do next.
Many neighbors book a cleanup in late winter, once the chance of frost has passed, and again in the fall after the rainy season winds down. Others call before a party, a home sale or a move-in.
What a Seasonal Cleanup Covers
Leaf and needle removal
We blow and rake leaves, oak tassels and pine needles out of the lawn, beds and corners where they collect. Wet leaf mats come off before they smother St. Augustine grass.
Bed weeding and edging
Weeds come out by the root, not just snapped at the soil line. We recut bed edges so the line between lawn and bed is clean again.
Cutting back cold damage
After a frost, tropical plants like hibiscus and ixora can look burned. We wait until the cold risk has passed, then trim back to live wood so the plant recovers instead of fighting dead tissue.
Shrub shaping
Overgrown hedges and foundation shrubs get shaped back off walls, windows and walkways. We trim with the plant's natural form in mind so it fills in evenly.
Debris hauling
Fallen limbs, dead fronds, Spanish moss and yard waste are bagged or loaded and taken with us. Your curb stays clear.
A short report
You get a quick rundown of anything we noticed, such as a clogged sprinkler head, a struggling tree or a drainage low spot, with photos.
Signs Your Yard Is Ready for a Cleanup
Leaves are sitting on the grass
If leaves stay on the lawn for more than a week or two, the turf below starts to yellow. Getting them off early is cheaper than patching dead grass later.
Weeds have taken over the beds
When you can no longer see the mulch, the weeds are already setting seed. One thorough cleanup breaks that cycle.
Brown, crispy shrubs after a cold snap
Cold-damaged plants look worse than they often are. A careful cutback shows what is still alive.
Shrubs touching the house
Branches rubbing siding or blocking windows hold moisture against your home and invite pests. That is a good time to cut them back.
Debris after a summer storm
Scattered limbs and fronds are a tripping hazard and can clog drains in the lawn. Clearing them also makes it easier to spot real damage.
How Your Cleanup Day Goes
- 1
A walkthrough first
We start with an on-site property walkthrough so we see what you see. We note the problem spots and agree on what is in and out of scope before quoting.
- 2
A written estimate
You get a clear estimate that lists the work area by area. No add-ons appear once we are on site unless you approve them.
- 3
The cleanup itself
Our crew works through the property in order: debris and leaves, then weeding, then trimming, then edging. We keep tarps down near beds so clippings do not end up in your mulch.
- 4
Final pass and haul-away
We blow off driveways, walks and patios, load the waste and walk the yard with you if you are home. Anything we found worth fixing gets mentioned before we leave.
What Moves the Price of Your Cleanup
No two yards collect the same mess, which is why we only quote after walking your property. Your free estimate spells out the full scope, and the number holds unless you approve a change. If the cleanup turns into a bigger project, we offer financing up to $100,000 on 2–12-year terms, with no prepayment penalties.
- Size of the property
- More lawn and bed area means more time. A large lot with many beds takes longer than a small yard with one front planting.
- How long since the last cleanup
- A yard that has gone a full season untouched has deeper weeds and heavier debris. Regular cleanups keep each visit lighter.
- Amount of debris to haul
- Big piles of limbs, fronds or bagged leaves add disposal time and trips. We estimate the volume during the walkthrough.
- Access and slopes
- Narrow side yards, gated areas and steep banks near the water slow the crew down. We plan around them so nothing gets damaged.
Seasonal Cleanup Questions
Something not covered here? (407) 759-3842
When is the best time for a seasonal cleanup here?
Late winter to early spring works well, after oak leaf drop and once frost is unlikely. A second visit in the fall clears out what the rainy season grew. If you only want one cleanup a year, early spring gives the most benefit.
Do you put down new mulch during a cleanup?
A cleanup gets the beds weeded and edged, which is the right prep for fresh mulch. Mulching is its own job, covered on our Mulch and Beds page, and we can quote both together if you like.
Will you cut back my frost-damaged plants right away?
Usually we wait. The dead leaves protect the plant if another cold night comes. Once the cold risk has passed, we trim back to healthy growth.
Is this the same as a property cleanup?
Not quite. A seasonal cleanup is routine upkeep for a yard that is mostly in shape. Our Property Cleanup service handles neglected or overgrown lots that need heavier clearing.
What if you find something wrong during the cleanup?
We tell you and show you a photo. A broken sprinkler head, a leaning tree or a soggy spot all have a cause, and we will explain it plainly. You decide whether to fix it now, later or not at all.
